Kelley Mack, the actress best known for her role as Addy in the hit series ‘The Walking Dead,’ has passed away at the age of 33. Her death was confirmed in a heartfelt statement posted on CaringBridge, revealing she died peacefully in her hometown of Cincinnati after a courageous battle with glioma, a rare form of brain cancer affecting the central nervous system.
Born Kelley Klebenow, Mack built a name for herself in the entertainment industry with a portfolio of 35 acting and 5 producing credits. Aside from ‘The Walking Dead,’ she also appeared in notable roles on ‘Chicago Med’ and FOX’s ‘9-1-1.’ Her career also spanned numerous commercial and voice-over projects, including appearances for brands like Dr. Pepper, Dairy Queen, Chick-fil-A, and Ross Stores.
Her passion for storytelling began in childhood after receiving a mini video camera as a birthday gift. That passion led her to earn a bachelor’s degree in cinematography from Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts in California.
Tributes have flooded social media since the announcement of her passing. Fellow actress Alanna Masterson wrote, “What an incredible human. So proud to have fought alongside her in our final episode together.” Friends and fans alike have remembered her as a “sweet soul,” a “bright light,” and an “inspiration” to many in and outside the industry.
Mack is remembered not just for her talent, but also for her compassion and unwavering support for those around her. A statement on her Instagram captured the gravity of the loss: “Such a bright, fervent light has transitioned to the beyond, where we all eventually must go.”
She is survived by her parents, Kristen and Lindsay Klebenow; siblings Kathryn and Parker; grandparents Lois and Larry Klebenow; and her boyfriend, Logan Lanier.
Her legacy continues through her contributions to film and television, and in the memories of everyone she touched. Kelley Mack’s dedication, spirit, and kindness will be deeply missed
